Quantity Surveyor

• Assisting with the take off and pricing of tender packages when necessary
  

• Accurate and timely completion of monthly applications
  

• Verify client payments against applications and provide debtors position to the Head of Commercial, taking action to reduce outstanding accounts
  

• Management of sub-contract packages including management/payments of labour and plant gangs on site
  

• Accurate pricing, negotiating and agreeing contractual variations with the client
  

• Management of several schemes at any one time
  

• Attend site meetings and work closely with project team
  

• Expected to manage and provide development and support to other Commercial team members
  

Requirements

Skills / Qualifications

• QS degree or relevant Cost/Commercial discipline
  

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role for major house builders
  

• Effective communication skills
  

• Proficient IT Skills, with a strong working knowledge of Excel and Bluebeam
  

• Sound commercial acumen including managing a large volume of work to tight client driven deadlines
  

• Ability to work under pressure, take the initiative and accept accountability
  

• Strong negotiation skills
  

• Experience of pricing tenders / contract variations
  

• Driving License
