Our client has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Paarl. Working on sizeable commercial construction projects, the successful candidate will contribute to cost planning, project profitability and effective contract administration within a well-established construction environment.
Requirements:
- Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the building construction sector.
- Must have 5-8 years of experience.
- Experience on commercial building projects.
- Proficiency in CCS construction software will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets and tender documentation.
- Manage project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Prepare valuations, payment certificates and final accounts.
- Monitor project expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients.
- Ensure accurate measurement and cost reporting using CCS software.
- Assist with contractual administration and commercial reporting.
