Operating for 75 years, our expertise spans the building, construction, and infrastructure sectors.   We support our clients with an award-winning team of specialists in portfolio and program advisory, quantity surveying and cost management, commercial and financial advisory, carbon and sustainability, and asset and facilities management.   With a global footprint covering Australia, New Zealand, Asia, India, Middle East, North America, Africa, the UK and Europe, our clients can tap into the collective thinking of over 2,000 of the best people in the industry, operating from over 70 offices.   Job Description   We’re on the lookout for qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyors to work within our expanding Canberra team.   Supporting key retail, commercial and residential construction projects, this role will perform various quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients.   This role is responsible for:   Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities Master-plan and feasibility budgets Cost checking of developing design Value engineering Tender evaluations and analysis Contract negotiations Cash flow projects Procurement Detailed cost reporting Evaluation of variations Valuations Final account reporting Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims Investment analysis Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans   Qualifications:   Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management Full Australian working rights and currently located in Australia RICS / AIQS accredited candidates will be highly regarded Proficient in the use of Cost X A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception, through to completion and post-project review Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a team and control multiple projects/client commissions   Additional information   At WT, in addition to your competitive salary we offer many perks including:   Bi-annual bonus scheme (discretionary) Paid professional memberships- support in gaining and supporting your membership costs for RICS and AIQS Wellbeing days - time to focus on your wellbeing and the community WT’s balanced way of working   If you're keen to and advance and broaden your career within the Quantity Surveying industry, this could be a great opportunity for you.
