RecruitPro Solutions is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client, based in Plattekloof, Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a dynamic team and work on exciting projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities
  • Manage tendering processes and evaluate contractor bids
  • Monitor project costs throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and variation orders
  • Liaise with contractors, architects, engineers, and clients
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
Requirements
  • BSc Quantity Surveying degree (essential)
  • Consultancy experience (essential)
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JBCC, NEC, FIDIC)
  • Proficiency in measurement software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft) and MS Excel
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., SACQSP) advantageous
  • Valid driver's license
