Our client, in the construction industry, with operations in Nairobi and several counties in the country is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to support in their various projects

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing and Supplier Management
• Purchasing
• Inventory Management
• Transportation and Distribution
• Supply Chain Management
• Risk Management
• Collaboration with project teams
• Budget and Cost Control

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in procurement and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Experience with international procurement and logistics.
• Familiarity with construction project management principles.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based with frequent visits to project sites and suppliers.
• May require travel to supplier locations and project sites.
• Occasional extended hours and weekends may be required to meet project deadlines.
