Quantity Surveyor
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for civil, mechanical, and structural works.
Monitor project costs and maintain accurate cost reports throughout the project lifecycle.
Evaluate contractor and subcontractor claims, variations, and payment certificates.
Prepare monthly valuations, progress reports, and cost forecasts.
Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluations, and procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
Monitor project budgets and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Negotiate prices, variations, and final accounts with contractors and suppliers.
Maintain proper commercial records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable contract conditions, company procedures, and industry standards.
Work closely with engineering, project management, procurement, and site teams to support project delivery.
Prepare and finalize project close-out documentation, including final accounts.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles and construction contracts.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Knowledge of standard forms of contract (FIDIC, NEC, GCC, or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with quantity surveying and cost management software will be an advantage.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum of
5 years' experience
as a Quantity Surveyor.
Demonstrated experience in
civil, mechanical, and structural construction projects
.
Experience with industrial, mining, infrastructure, or large construction projects is highly desirable.
Proven experience managing project costs, contract administration, and final accounts.
Minimum Qualifications
National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional registration with the relevant Quantity Surveying body will be an advantage.
