Introduction

Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing construction team in the Netherlands. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced South African Quantity Surveyors looking to build an international career while working on exciting new build, renovation and transformation projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in project cost planning, budgeting, financial reporting and commercial management from project inception through to completion.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare project budgets and detailed cost plans.
  • Develop and manage cost estimates throughout project lifecycles.
  • Prepare cost reports and financial forecasts.
  • Evaluate project costs, risks and value engineering opportunities.
  • Assist with procurement and contract administration.
  • Prepare tender documentation and cost analyses.
  • Monitor project expenditure and control budgets.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and project teams.
  • Ensure projects remain financially viable and commercially successful.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.
  • Experience on commercial, residential, industrial or mixed-use construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost planning and contract administration.
  • Excellent analytical and commercial skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Recent relevant industry experience.
  • Willing and committed to relocating to the Netherlands.
  • Must be able to speak Afrikaans
