We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a strong focus on the preparation of Bills of Quantities to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both new construction and refurbishment projects, with a solid understanding of full architectural drawings. While experience with measuring services (Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulics) is not required, familiarity with these areas is a plus. Proficiency in Cubit software is preferred, though not essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of Bills of Quantities: Accurately prepare, analyze, and update Bills of Quantities for a variety of construction projects, ensuring precision in all quantities and cost estimations.

Project Experience: Handle both new construction and refurbishment projects, providing detailed and accurate quantity take-offs from full architectural drawings.

Cost Estimation: Develop comprehensive cost estimates and budgets based on the Bills of Quantities and project specifications, including materials, labor, and overheads.

Contract Administration: Assist in the preparation of tender documentation, contract agreements, and evaluate tenders. Negotiate with contractors and suppliers as necessary.

Cost Control and Monitoring: Oversee project costs throughout the construction phase, offering recommendations for cost-saving measures and addressing financial adjustments.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all cost-related documentation and provide regular financial performance reports, including variations and claims.

Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and budget constraints are met.

Value Engineering: Identify and implement opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization while ensuring project quality and functionality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, particularly in the preparation of Bills of Quantities for new construction and refurbishment projects.
- Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, RICS) is advantageous but not required.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
- Proficiency in measuring full architectural drawings is essential. Experience with services (Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulics) is not required but is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with Cubit software is preferred. Training can be provided if necessary.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in preparing Bills of Quantities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
