WSP is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused Electrical Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of electrical engineering projects across various sectors, including commercial, healthcare, transportation, industrial, and data center developments. The role involves preparing estimates, cost plans, bills of quantities, tender documentation, contract administration, and financial reporting while ensuring alignment with project budgets and client requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, contractors, and clients to provide accurate commercial and cost management support throughout the project lifecycle.
Cost Planning & Estimation
Prepare quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates for electrical services.
Develop and maintain project cost plans and budgets.
Review electrical drawings, specifications, and design documentation for cost implications.
Support value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Quantity Surveying & Cost Control
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and tender schedules.
Monitor project costs and track budget performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Evaluate variations, change orders, and claims associated with electrical works.
Conduct periodic cost reporting and forecast final project costs.
Tendering & Procurement
Assist in preparing tender documentation and bid evaluations.
Analyze contractor quotations and provide commercial comparisons.
Support procurement activities related to electrical systems and equipment.
Recommend cost-effective procurement strategies.
Contract Administration
Review subcontractor and supplier contracts.
Assess progress claims and certify payments.
Support dispute resolution and contract compliance activities.
Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
Project Coordination
Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and commercial teams.
Participate in project meetings and provide cost-related updates.
Ensure commercial risks are identified and mitigated proactively.
Support project delivery teams in achieving financial objectives.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare monthly cost reports and management dashboards.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and client requirements.
Maintain documentation in accordance with project quality standards.
Support audits and project close-out activities.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
5–12 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or estimation for electrical building services projects.
Experience in consultancy, EPC, contractor, or engineering environments.
Exposure to international projects is advantageous.

Strong understanding of electrical systems, including:
Power distribution systems

ELV systems
Fire alarm systems
Data center electrical infrastructure
Renewable energy systems (desirable)
