Introduction

An established and reputable construction company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to be involved in high-quality construction projects, with exposure to a variety of developments and strong growth potential within the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quantity take-offs from drawings
  • Compile and price Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from scratch
  • Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts
  • Manage tendering processes and subcontractor appointments
  • Measure, cost, and negotiate contract variations
  • Conduct onsite measurements
  • Manage subcontractor accounts and payments
  • Prepare and issue interim payment certificates
  • Submit and manage interim claims
  • Monitor project costs against original tenders
  • Finalize and agree on subcontractor final accounts

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements:

  • NDIP (Quantity Surveying) / B-Tech (Quantity Surveying) OR NDIP / B-Tech in Construction Management
    (Candidates with extensive relevant experience will also be considered)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in high-end multi-unit residential developments is highly advantageous
  • Experience in other construction sectors (retail, commercial, warehouse) will also be considered
  • Solid understanding of construction processes and principles

Key Skills:

  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in cost estimation and reporting
  • Knowledge of CCS (advantageous)
  • Understanding of JBCC contracts
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
