Quantity Surveyor | Leicestershire | £40,000 - £50,000 + car allowance + bonus (up to 20%)

We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for one of our award-winning clients within the housebuilding sector. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing costs relating to residential developments, with the focus being to minimise costs on projects whilst still achieving the required standards and quality. In this role, you will be involved from inception, through to completion. This will include budget control, procurement of sub-contractors, arranging valuation reports, and providing support to the commercial and site teams. For someone who's ambitious and wants to work for a Company that values and supports their employees, it may well be the place for you.

Main Responsibilities

• Cost management & forecasting
• Construction knowledge, compliance & a strong understanding of relevant regs. codes of practice and NHBC and LABC requirements
• Budgeting & cost control
• Procurement & subcontractor management
• Tender preparation
• Financial reporting
• Attend management and departmental meetings on and off-site

About You

• Experience within the housebuilding sector
• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying and contractual procedures within housebuilding
• Solid understanding of UK building regs, NHBC and sustainability codes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
• Experience in dispute resolution
• Problem solving/think on your feet mindset
• Organised and a self-starter
