Introduction

Our client is seeking a dynamic and commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the company's procurement, cost control, materials management, and logistics functions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to broaden their commercial exposure beyond traditional QS responsibilities and play a key role in managing supplier relationships, procurement strategies, inventory control, and operational efficiencies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier sourcing, procurement activities, and commercial negotiations.
  • Evaluate quotations, analyse pricing structures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor project and material costs to ensure budget compliance and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships.
  • Oversee stores and inventory management, ensuring accurate stock control and reporting.
  • Coordinate logistics and material deliveries to support operational requirements.
  • Assist with commercial analysis, cost reporting, and expenditure tracking.
  • Review purchasing trends and recommend strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Implement and maintain procurement and inventory control processes.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • 3–5 years' post-qualification experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
  • Exposure to procurement, supplier management, purchasing, or commercial administration.
  • Strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, and commercial management principles.

Package & Remuneration

R720 000 CTC - R1 Mil CTC (Negotiable depending on experience)
