As client side Quantity Surveyor and Team Lead based in Cardiff, this is a challenging yet rewarding role working in a team of like-minded and driven professionals focussed on project delivery and client satisfaction.

- Be an integral member of the team working across a portfolio of high value projects
- Be part of the clients collaboratively working team, engaging the wider supply chain
- Provide analysis of project performance, supported by accurate data and modern systems

It is envisaged that you will be pro-active and will be invited to offer your input and thoughts to continuous improvements. The role will require you to ensure that a high level of technical, financial and commercial control is maintained on projects.
A little more about your role…
- Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying on projects from inception to completion
- Tender and appoint the construction team
- Attend design team meetings, produce tender documentation
- Develop cost plans
- Review tender returns, authorise application of payment, risk analysis, valuation certificate production
- Administer contracts
- Prepare financial reports
- Agree final accounts and produce associated documentation
- Participate in value engineering workshops and analyse findings
- Leading our team of Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers in Wales and the South.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- Experience of working on education, commercial, health or defence projects in the UK or overseas
- Ability for being a team player
- Experience of working in highly motivated teams
- Expertise and a working knowledge of NEC 3 or 4 and JCT
- Experience using cost management tools such as Cost X or similar
- Experience using contract management tools such as Acone, CEMAR or similar
- Experience of providing Project Controls services
- Experience in working in team delivery, and are willing extend your knowledge and experience through working in a highly motivated and competent team
- Experience of leading teams and mentoring staff
- Management of projects including resourcing and financial performance
- Bid management experience including preparation of quality submissions and fee proposals.
- Chartered Membership of RICS or other professional body
- BSc (Hons) in related degree
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, good planning and organising skills together with strong time management skill and team working
- A full driving licence
