Job Title: Senior Estimator/ Quantity surveyor- Interior Fit-out

Experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in estimating and quantity surveying for fit-out and interior projects.

Location: Dubai, UAE
Job Type: Full-time

Job overview:

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost management, contract administration, and financial reporting to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to high commercial standards.

 Experience working in FIT-OUT environment is a MUST.

Key Responsibilities:

  • All stages of an estimate including: project selection, estimate organization, take-off, pricing, review and closeout.
  • Communicate project progress/status with Management.
  • Prepare, analyze and maintain accurate quantities and thorough take offs from plans.
  • Manage and co-ordinate construction projects with Project Manager.
  • Estimate the cost of materials, time, labour, and equipment for construction projects, using contract bids, quotations, drawings and specifications
  • Decide how the tendering procedure will work, recommend tenders and conduct negotiations.
  • Keep track of the project's costs and budget
  • Work with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Estimating costs for structural, civil or joinery elements of construction projects
  • Have a detailed and comprehensive knowledge of construction and construction methods.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
  • Use computer spreadsheets and databases as well as estimating, take-off, and scheduling software.

 

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating and quantity surveying, with a focus on fitout and interior projects in the UAE.
  • Extensive experience as an estimator in the construction or Fitout field.
  • Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Brilliant management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in cost estimation and reporting.

Strong command over English language, for both verbal and written communications
