Our client, a top consultancy firm specialising in quantity surveying, cost management, and fund monitoring services, is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Employers Agent to join their lively team in Manchester.


They're known for their skill in handling high-value projects, typically ranging from Β£50m to Β£150m, spanning sectors like Student Accommodation, High-rise Residential PRS, Offices, and Sports Facilities. With a dedication to innovation and providing value-based solutions, they're eager for a capable professional to contribute to their ongoing success.


Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all cost-related aspects throughout the project lifecycle, including cost planning, budgeting, and control.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender documents, and conduct cost analysis and valuation of work in progress.

- Cultivate strong client relationships, offering expert cost advice aligned with project objectives.

- Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-effective measures for enhanced project profitability.

- Identify and assess project risks related to cost, providing effective strategies for risk mitigation.

- Administer contracts, managing variations, claims, and settlements.

- Lead and mentor junior members of the cost management team, providing guidance and support.

- Prepare regular cost reports, financial forecasts, and documentation for clients and stakeholders.

- Ensure projects adhere to industry standards and client specifications, emphasizing value delivery.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.

- Ideally Chartered status with a recognized professional institution (e.g., RICS).

- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Employers Agent in specified sectors.

- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT).

- Proficiency in cost estimating and project management software.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

- Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
