Introduction

Our client, a multidisciplinary property development management company operating across South Africa and Namibia, is seeking a Junior / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their Cape Town office. This opportunity is ideal for a developing QS professional or a newly registered Quantity Surveyor looking to accelerate their career within a high-performance property development environment, supported by structured mentorship and exposure to large-scale projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with cost planning, feasibility studies, and budget preparation
  • Support preparation of Bills of Quantities and tender documentation
  • Assist with procurement processes and tender evaluations
  • Compile monthly valuations, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts
  • Support contract administration and variation assessments
  • Assist with final accounts and project close-out processes
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams
  • Maintain accurate project financial and contractual records

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSc / BTech Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Relevant QS experience required (consulting or development environment)
  • Candidate not yet registered or newly registered QS welcome
  • Exposure to property development projects advantageous
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability
  • Good understanding of construction cost management principles
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Cape Town
