What You'll Be Doing

As a Professional Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of construction projects from tender stage through to final account. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities and tender documentation
  • Administering construction contracts using Candy CSS
  • Monitoring project costs, valuations and cash flow to ensure financial performance
  • Identifying and managing commercial and financial risks
  • Preparing detailed reports and providing cost advice to support project decision-making
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual obligations and industry standards

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

 

  • A Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related qualification
  • A minimum of 3 years' Quantity Surveying experience
  • Proven experience using Candy CSS (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement and cost management
  • Experience in cost planning, estimating, budgeting and financial reporting
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and commercial decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Candy CSS
  • A valid South African driver's licence
