RPO Recruitment’s client, a respected Building and Civil Contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Cape Town team on one of their latest projects as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates and project cost reports.
- Monitor project costs and assist with cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates and final accounts.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations and payment certificates.
- Price and administer variation orders and contract claims.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and commercial reporting.
- Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
- Ensure commercial compliance with contract requirements and company procedures.
Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.
- Experience with cost control, valuations, subcontractor administration and variation orders.
- Knowledge of payment certificates, cost reporting and final accounts.
- Valid driver's licence (essential).
- Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
