Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, evaluating tender documentation, and providing commercial support throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires strong experience within the interior fit-out industry, particularly on commercial and hospitality projects.

Candidates must be willing to relocate to Oman and work closely with the design, procurement, and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience working in the Middle East or GCC region.
  • Experience on luxury hospitality and high-end commercial interior fit-out projects.
  • Knowledge of local and international construction contracts and commercial practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for interior fit-out projects.
  • Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and cost planning exercises.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare tender submissions and commercial proposals.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and change orders throughout project execution.
  • Assist in contract administration and commercial management.
  • Prepare monthly valuations, cost reports, and project forecasts.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding commercial matters.
  • Support procurement activities and material costing.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor and/or Estimator within the interior fit-out industry.
  • Proven experience working on commercial, hospitality, retail, or corporate interior projects.
  • Strong understanding of fit-out construction methods, materials, and procurement processes.
  • Experience preparing detailed estimates and tender documentation.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be willing to relocate and reside in Oman.
