An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a client-based construction team in Cape Town. The role focuses on commercial project control, cost management, contractual administration and financial oversight throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project budgets, cost planning, cash flows and financial reporting.
- Prepare and evaluate Bills of Quantities, tender documentation and pricing schedules.
- Oversee valuations, interim payment certificates, variations and final accounts.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and commercial negotiations.
- Monitor project costs, contractual obligations and financial risks.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and project teams on commercial matters.
Requirements:
- Relevant BSc/BTech/BEng or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
- 8 years + Experience
- Extensive experience in construction quantity surveying, ideally at senior level.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost control and final account preparation.
- Experience with JBCC, NEC or GCC contracts.
- Proficiency in relevant QS software and cost management systems.
